Singu Chuli peak climbing - Singu chuli peak climbing information

Singu Chuli (6,501 m) was formerly known as Fluted Peak. The first ascent of Singu Chuli peak was made by Wilf Noyce and David Cox on its North. East Face and the top section of the East Ridge. Singu chuli peak is situated in the Annapurna Sanctuary adjoined to Tharpu Chuli and across Hiunchuli peaks. Singu Chuli is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome), which separates the South and West Annapurna Glaciers. Annapurna South Base Camp provides the best distant view of the mountain. To date, apart from the original route, most efforts to climb this mountain have concentrated on the face and ridges seen from this viewpoint. The southwest ridge of the mountain connects with Tent Peak. The terrain between the two mountains is a confusing one and the ridge is not straight. Singu Chuli peak climbing offers eye catching Himalayan views of whole Annapurna Himalayan range including Dhaulagiri , Annpuarna I, II, III, IV, Annapurna south, Fishtail/Machhapuchhare, Lamjung Himal, Nilgiri , Dhampus peak etc. .

We arrive at the base camp of Singu Chuli in spectacular six days walk up the Modi Khola gorge to the Annapurna Sanctuary. Base camp at around 4350m/14668ft and then establish two higher camps, one at 4,900m/16,000ft at the approach of North East Face and a higher one at 5,500m/18,000ft. on the North East Face of the mountain before the summit is gained. A vertical wall near the summit pose some technical challenge on this climb. This climb is suggested to only those with some alpine and ice climbing experience. We Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition arrange the Singu chuli peak climbing according travelers /mountaineers holiday schedule.
