Kanchenjunga trekking is one of the most remote and beautiful trekking areas of eastern part of Nepal. Kanchenjunga 8586m is third highest mountain in the world was first climbed by a British team in 1956 AD and Kanchenjunga mean " Treasures of the Snow". Kanchenjunga base camp trekking offers superb Himalayan scenery including the Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt.Manaslu, Jhanu Himal/ Kumvakarna Himal(Mystery Peak" or "Terror Peak), Nepal peak, Chamlang peak etc, relaxing with different culture of Rai, Limbu, Magar, Tamang, Brahman and Chhetri etc , wild animals such as Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, Mountain Thar/goat, Monkeys, Red panda etc.Around Kanchenjunga trekking provides exploration of extreme eastern part Nepal and should be taken is for experienced trekkers who seek complete escape into the wildest, richest part of the Himalayas in Nepal. Kanchenjunga base camp trek is also has great for those explorers having natural history interest, with ecological zones from the subtropics to glacial wilderness. However the presence of numerous wild animals, birds and flora in abundance make the trekking in this region very interesting and pleasant. Special trekking permit is required for the Kanchenjunga region trekking through the Government registered trekking agencies of Nepal. For the kanchenjunga trekking there are two different routs from kathmandu by bus to basantarpur and fly out from suketar or both way fly to suketar and fly out from suketar will be possible , both separate routes head northeastwards from Taplejung/ Basantapur, one to the North Base Camp, the other to the South Base Camp. These routes can be combined into a circuit of the kanchenjunga base camp trekking tour.
Kanchenjunga trekking begins from kathmandu to Basantapur or kathmandu by flight to suketar from where you head north to the villages of Chauki (2700 m), Gorja Gaon (2000m), Amjilasa (2490 m), Ghunsa (3340 m), Khambachen (4040 m) and Lhonak (4790 m) to Pangpema (5140 m.) which also serves as the Base Camp for expeditions attempting the North Face of Kanchanjunga and the culmination of the first part of the trek. After a couple of days of rest and exploration at Lhonak, including a day trip to Pangpema (16,900ft) to admire the north face of Kanchenjunga, you will continue back the same way Gunsa village . There is an option however, if the team is interested, to cross two passes, the Lapsang La (16,760ft) and Sinion/Mirgin La (15,300ft) depending on the conditions. You then retrace your steps to the village of Ghunsa and back to Taplejung or Tumlingtar for your flight back or you can head east over the Lapsang La (5110 m.) to Tseram and Ramchee and then to the Yalung Glacier (4800 m.) towards the south which completes the second part of your journey. From here you start on your return journey heading south through the villages of Torontan, Yamphudin, Mamankhe and Keswa to Taplejung from where you will board and aircraft for Biratnagar and then fly out to Kathmandu.

Option I: Kanchenjunga Trekking ( Drive in from Basantpur & Fly out from Taplejung Suketar)
Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu 1334m, transfer to hotel, Kanchenjunga trekking briefing with officially briefing. Overnight at kathmandu.
Day 02: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to you for historical monuments sightseeing around kathmandu valley such as Bhkatapur, pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, kathmandu durbar square & Swaymbhunath(monkey temple) and prepare for the Kanchenjunga trekking because this day is required to make Kanchenjunga trekking permit with original passport.
