Upper mustang and Lo-Manthang trekking is popular trekking trail in mustang region. Upper Mustang trek in Nepal introduces you to the ancient cave civilization and the rural communities of Mustang ancient and forbidden wall kingdom. Often referred to as little Tibet of Nepal, Upper Mustang is known as a kingdom within the kingdom of Nepal remaining isolated and aloof from the outer world and modern civilization for centuries. Mustang is a remote, semi-independent Tibetan kingdom within the territory of Nepal (just north of the Annapurna Region on the Tibetan border), and one of the last bastions of undisturbed Tibetan culture in the world. Buddhist monasteries and nunneries are built into forbidding cliffs and mountain ledges, and the starkly beautiful, windy, arid Tibetan plateau is unbroken for many hours of trekking or riding on, horseback. The trek enters upper Mustang at Kagbeni, a quaint medieval town nestled in apple orchards and encircled by snow mountains. It eventually reaches the ancient capitol of Lo Manthang, a walled city built of whitewashed mud bricks and teeming with Buddhist prayer wheels and stupas, seeming to arise from the earth itself. Entirely closed to visitors until the early 1990s, upper Mustang treks are still restricted by a set of rules for cultural conservation and require a minimum US$500 permit fee for a ten-day trek which is issued by local and government registered trekking company of Nepal. Upper Mustang & Lo Manthang Trekking Itinerary I
Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu 1334m, Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition’s representative will transfer to hotel , Upper Mustang & Lo Manthang trekking briefing with officially arrangements. overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to you for historical monuments sightseeing around kathmandu valley such as Bhkatapur, pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, kathmandu durbar square & Swaymbhunath(monkey temple) and prepare for the Mustang trekking because this day is required to make Mustang special trekking permit with original passport. Overnight at kathmandu .
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara 915m. by tourist bus or by flight. overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.
Day 04: Pokhra to Jomsom 2720m,by flight and trek to Kagbeni 2810m. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 05: Kagbeni trek to Chele 3050m.Overnight at tented camp
Day 06: Chele trek to Geling 3500m.Overnight at tented camp.
Day 07: Geling trek to Tsarang/Chharang 3620m.Overnight at tented camp.

Day 11: Ghami trek to Samar 3356m . Overnight at tented camp.

Day 14: After breakfast Jomsom to Pokhara by flight than by bus/private vehicle or by flight back to Kathmandu.overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 15: After breakfast, Relaxing or shopping with own activities than in the evening farewell dinner in Nepalese Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel .
